History On The Move 2010 Returns

Thirty individuals, from young students to elderly seniors, came together from all over the United States to participate in the 2010 History On The Move (HOTM) trip.

HOTM 2010: An Educational Tour of Egypt, Israel, & Germany

This year’s 19-day tour included three different countries, each with its distinct cultures and histories being represented and learned. We traveled through the land of Egypt, experiencing an opulent history and seeing the Great Pyramids, sphinxes, tombs, temples and unbelievable ancient treasures.  Israel and the Palestinian Authority were rich in historical sites from the Dead Sea to the Sea of Galilee areas, while the enchanting city of Jerusalem stole the hearts of the group members.  We finished this extensive trip with the much greener and cooler country of Germany.  The focus was on East Germany and the history of the Reformation. The entire group enjoyed not only Berlin, but also exploring the charming, smaller towns and cities along the way. We saw and learned much from the people and the study of historical sites in each country.  While it was a little warm in the Middle East, each participant did well walking & climbing in the heat and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful weather in Germany.  Deep appreciation is expressed by all of us to the hospitable and helpful agents, guides, hosts and speakers in each country.

We are currently in the process of planning our next trip for June 2011 to the Aegean area.  Details will be coming soon.
